This has to be the top question that anyone on a plant based diet is asked. Bar none. It’s one of the main barriers, and fears, that people have in making a decision to eat a more plant based diet (fear of eating more beans is the other, but I’ll leave that for another post). The thing is, on a meat and dairy based diet you are getting more protein that your body needs or wants. Too much protein is making people sick.
